Before you call
Two things that make the first conversation far more useful.
First, dig out twelve months of electricity bills, or your utility login. A single summer bill tells us less than you would think, because the whole question is how your usage moves across the year. Second, have a rough idea of what you want the system to do: cut the bill, survive an outage, run the air conditioning through a 115-degree afternoon, or all three. Those are different systems.
